Description

1.5 million Austrians are emotionally exhausted, twice as many suffer from sleep disorders, and 30 percent of employees are receiving treatment for psychosomatic illnesses. These figures were recorded in 2015. The numbers are alarming, and the strains have intensified even further since then. Double burdens, shift work, long working hours, constant professional and private availability, and negative media prevent us from finding peace. Behavioural studies clearly show that physical and mental health can be maintained and improved through relaxation exercises, meditation and physical activity. Mental and physical fitness also enhance cognitive performance and make us smarter.
