Description

In this further training course, the ethical aspects of dealing with these sensitive topics as well as communication with patients/clients and relatives are intensively addressed. New in this further training is the inclusion of the legal framework conditions in accordance with the GuKG amendment, which enables registered nurses (DGKP) to independently prescribe certain products and aids. You will receive valuable information on how to effectively integrate this extended competence into your daily work.

  • Pathophysiology: Causes and consequences of bladder and bowel dysfunctions
  • Use of elimination protocols
  • Dealing with shame and taboo topics
  • Bladder emptying disorders: Types, causes and nursing-relevant clarification
  • Adequate provision of aids
  • Catheter management
  • Bowel emptying disorders: Types, causes, necessary clarification and nursing measures
  • Bowel management, including adequate use of aids

Higher service for health and nursing care, nursing care assistants, care assistants, as well as specialist and diploma social care workers, home care assistants, and all those working in healthcare who are involved in the care of patients with bladder and bowel dysfunctions
