Description

Those who work with mentally ill people are often confronted with behaviours or symptoms that seem alien and are difficult to understand.

Specialists can constructively support the individual recovery process through their understanding attitude and everyday stabilising offers, and strengthen the self-management skills of mentally ill people.

This seminar provides background knowledge on the logic of mental illnesses and on the conditions that positively influence recovery. After a theoretical input on the most essential mental illnesses, effective support options and helpful self-management strategies will be developed through case work based on Balint.
