The care allowance compensates for part of the additional costs incurred due to care needs through a lump-sum payment. This is intended to secure the necessary care and enable a life that is as self-determined and needs-oriented as possible. Depending on the extent of care required, it is granted in seven levels. The assessment of care needs is based on the Classification Ordinance of the Federal Care Allowance Act (EinstV). When assessing care needs by experts in residential facilities or when providing care through mobile services, the involvement of care and support staff is essential. In this context, traceable documentation, as well as the depiction and description of the care and support effort for patients, clients and customers, is procedurally relevant to ensure an adequate classification. In this training, you will receive basic information to point out relevant care and support efforts to the expert during the care allowance assessment and to argue them confidently and competently.
