Description

Those who work with mentally ill people are often confronted with behaviours or symptoms that seem strange and are difficult to understand.

Professionals can constructively support the individual recovery process through their understanding attitude and everyday stabilising offers, and strengthen the self-management skills of mentally ill people.

This seminar provides background knowledge on the logic of mental illnesses and the conditions that positively influence recovery. After a theoretical introduction to the most significant mental illnesses, effective support options and helpful self-management strategies are developed through case work based on Balint.
