Changing professional roles: opportunities and requirements in practice

Share this course:

Description

The professional role of home care assistants has gained in importance in recent years. It is therefore all the more important to stay informed about legal changes and to reflect on one’s own role within the care or support team.

This continuing education course provides a clear overview of the latest amendments to the Health and Nursing Care Act, including the GuK-BAV-Novelle 2024, and discusses them using case studies.

In addition to the interfaces with nursing assistance, nursing care assistance and qualified nursing, a particular focus is placed on clearly defining boundaries with clients, residents and patients – for example with regard to proximity and distance, professional task performance and the limits of one’s scope of work. The course also addresses how conflicts can arise in everyday life – whether in contact with clients or in collaboration with other professional groups – and which practical solution strategies can help to resolve them constructively. The aim is to strengthen the confidence and professionalism of home care assistants in their daily work.
