
Even in the age of the internet and the ever-increasing flood of information, it is particularly important for students to know where they can find the right information for their first academic papers and how they should critically evaluate it. This involves systematic information search, critical reception and assistance with writing their first papers.
Module 1: Help! I'm writing an (academic) paper
Objective: Students should be helped to overcome any fears they may have about writing their first academic papers by providing them with tips and tricks.
Duration: 120 minutes
Module 2: Literature Research and WebOPACs
Objective: At the latest when writing their academic paper, students need to search for suitable literature. In this workshop, they will not only learn about the largest libraries in Austria but also receive practical tips for their literature research. The various online search options provided by the libraries will also be discussed in more detail.
Duration: 120 minutes
Module 3: "AK Library Digital" - The World of eBooks
Objective: The students should be made aware of the AK Library Digital offer and it should be explained to them how they can use this free eBook portal for their purposes.
Duration: 60 minutes
