Description

The aspect of self-determination regarding artificial nutrition, artificial ventilation, and terminal pain management leaves many people with the desire for an advance healthcare directive. To ensure that important matters such as these are handled according to one’s wishes in an emergency, it is crucial to make provisions. Ultimately, this allows you to secure your self-determination. Power of attorney, advance healthcare directive, and adult representation are legally regulated instruments that give the affected person the assurance that their rights and wishes will be respected and enforced by trusted individuals.

The Corona pandemic has also raised many questions in this area that need to be answered.

Course objective:

Empower participants to engage with the topics of power of attorney, advance healthcare directive, and adult representation in a manner relevant to their profession. This will enable them to provide advisory support to their clients/patients/residents and their relatives, while also reflecting on their own needs, including future-related questions.
