When AI deceives: Fake News, Deepfakes and how to see through them

In this compact course, participants will learn how fake news, targeted disinformation and AI-generated content (e.g. deepfakes, manipulated images and texts) are created and spread. Using current examples, the course will show how to identify dubious content, verify sources and critically evaluate digital information. In addition, participants will receive practical tools and simple strategies to move more confidently in social media and online news in everyday life.
