Visit to Paradise, the Life's Work of Cornelius Kolig

"Stay instead of travel" – this is the inscription on the southern keystone of the Paradise complex created by Cornelius Kolig (1942–2022) in his Carinthian hometown of Vorderberg. Paradise is a unique total work of art spanning over 5,000 m² – a place that combines studio, workshop, exhibition space, archive, cemetery, and garden. Among objects, paintings, sculptures, drawings, and staged natural and bodily elements, a multifaceted life's work unfolds here, inseparably linked to its location. A place where art, life, and landscape interpenetrate – and where all sensory impressions can be experienced intensely. The walk lasts approximately 2 hours – if needed, please bring walking sticks. Please note that the tour of the area is not accessible for people with limited mobility. There are no step-free accesses or suitable aids available.
