Austrian Sign Language (ÖGS) 1 (A1)

Austrian Sign Language is a fully developed language with its own syntax and grammar. It is often assumed that sign language is universal and internationally uniform. It is all the more surprising to learn that sign languages, just like spoken languages, differ from country to country, even from region to region. Since July 2005, Austrian Sign Language has been anchored in the constitution as an independent language. Together we will dive into the world of sign language, experience the fascination and uniqueness of this language and learn more about the people who use it daily.
